Artist Hooshang Khorasani's background includes a BFA in painting, plus 12 years as a graphic designer and an award-winning illustrator. He has worked as a self-employed artist in America and Spain since 1984. His paintings are in private collections in Europe and across America as well as in corporate collections and the permanent collection of Florida's Lake Eustis Museum of Art. Hooshang has also been tapped by Bentley Publishing Group, which chose 32 of his works for publication. Another publisher, Dianoche Designs, carries almost 200 items featuring his artwork. And most recently, METcolors has also chosen his work for publication. His paintings are acrylic and mixed media, and range from brushwork to washes to work with a palette knife. "Jewels"
This two-painting set, "Jewels," scored one of six non-ranked cash awards in the “Out of the Blue” exhibit that saluted the Attleboro (Mass.) Arts Museum's 85th anniversary.

Flowers in a Vase II
This acrylic painting was part of 14th annual Flower Show, “Light and Dark: A Celebration of Contrast,” at the Attleboro (Mass.) Arts Museum. The art exhibit was part of a larger event at the facility titled “Dusk to Dawn: Gardens that Light up the Night.”

The range of Hooshang's work

Hooshang's original paintings range from 6x6 inches to 48x60 and from $150 to $3,500. Many of those originals are also available in his studio as prints: 8½x11, $35; 11x14, $55; and 13x19, $75. Subjects are abundant: abstract, florals, landscapes, equine studies, female figures and still lifes.

"Luminescence"
This two-painting set in Hooshang's "Luminescence" series was exhibited at the Rawls Museum Arts of Courtland, Va., and won 3rd place during the museum's 50th anniversary celebration.
