MOSI to display Hooshang's 'In the Shadows'
unseen will be a national juried art exhibition in the ARC Gallery at the Museum of Science and Industry and will include a wide range of artistic interpretations. Artists explore such concepts as dreams, visions and images that are either taken from our current environment, our personal viewpoint or an imagined idea. unseen will take the viewer on a visual journey and exploration of existing and new realities and unique perspectives.
Hooshang's "In the Shadows," mixed media on canvas, 30x40 inches," will be part of the exhibit, which is scheduled for July 23 through Aug. 27.
The ARC Gallery at MOSI strives to feature a wide range of artistic media, expressions and styles, from contemporary and abstract to classical and realistic. Its mission is to promote the art of local, regional, and national artists, while focusing on artistic quality, originality and merit.
The unseen exhibition is curated by Zarth Bertsch, director, IMAX Dome Theatre and ARC Gallery; Michael Massaro, sculptor and gallery director of Gallery 501; and Ofra Friedman, sculptor and co-curator of EarthVisions at MOSI. The exhibition will feature all media art, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation and video art, which will be screened in the IMAX Dome Theatre. The ARC Gallery surrounds the MOSI IMAX Theatre.

I loved your piece "In the Shadows" - I saw it at the opening reception. I, too, have a piece in this exhibit.
